Hello
Having an issue with my SDS100 in sentinel. With the software when I make a new profile and copied into the scanner with a different name, the old profile is still there. I can’t get rid of the old profile on the scanner nor can I get rid of it in the software. When I try to delete it at a sentinel, it tells me I can’t do it. It started with the STS not accepting a new profile. Just curious if I need to reformat my SD card, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When you Write to Scanner with the new profile, check the box that pops up "Erase Favorite Lists in Scanner".

Then File..Open...highlight the profile you longer want, scroll down to Delete Profile and should be gone.

Just to confirm, you're talking about Profiles and not Favorite Lists? In other words, are you making an entirely new Profile to load into the scanner, or are you renaming a Favorite List?

It is definitely my profile. I have written three profiles and tried to copy them to the SDS and they are not going into the scanner.

Again, thanks for the tips. I’ll try them and get back with you to let you know if they worked or not.

All favorites lists are common to all profiles. Did you change which FLs are set to download/monitor in Sentinel for the second profile? And did you select erase existing FLs when you wrote to the scanner?

I think you got the jist of it now. Just remember to "check the box" Erase Favorite List on Scanner when you get it together and are ready to Write to Scanner.

I think that was another step I was missing.

sorry for chiming in after a problem was fixed, but for others who may search in the future:

While you may have numerous Profiles saved with Sentinel, only one (1) can be active at a given time. That is the one that would be written to the scanner. You can tell which Profile is active by looking at the upper left hand corner of Sentinel. It will say something like BCDx36HP : XXX where XXX is the name of the current Profile.

As others have noted, Favorites Lists are shared by all Profiles. So if you can Favorites List 1 for Profile A, you have also changed it for Profile B, C, D and so on.
