The public comments at the end of the article, for the most part, are spot on, right on the money.

I get mixed feelings on this.. In the old days they sold maps to the Stars houses on street corners
near Hollywood.. Guess times have changed.
Lot of big money talking here now but these days there also seems to be some real creepy stalkers.
Heck the govt can already track any of us now via cellphones and auto license plate readers etc.
Someone will find the holes in the above changes anyway.
I'll stick with commercial and Mil stuff anyhow.. Pilots will still have to talk on the radios :)

Most of the folks worried about being tracked use LLCs or the aircraft are still owned by the bank, etc. The owner information is rarely available. This certainly helps protect normal people.

The ability to use a call sign other than the N Number has existed for a long time. At some point though, you still have to takeoff and land, and you can't conceal the N Number on the plane itself.

It's bipartisan, so obviously horrible for the middle and lower classes. I guess they're trying to hide who's flying them around the country in private jets while complaining about how much "we" need to reduce "our" carbon footprint 🙄
