Has anyone sent control signals over RF cable to control RF components like a switch? We would like to be able to do this to control some switches that have SPI or GPIO control. There is a protocol called DiSEqC.
Here is some info I found about this protocol:

DiSEqC - Wikipedia

DiSEqC™ Protocol and Low-Noise Block Voltage Regulator TPS65235 for Satellite – STB/TV (ti.com)

I am looking for a way to control switches on a small board that doesn’t have room for a board mount connector. We would like to send control over one of the RF cables somehow. We could possibly use this protocol if there was a chip that converted from it to SPI or GPIO, which is what is needed to control our switches. I haven’t found anything. Maybe there is some other way to do it?

Here is an example part that uses DISEQC:

I have DiSEqC encoders and have used a lot of equipment with decoders, but I have not seen a specific decoder that gives useful outputs that you can make use of. Most DiSEqC decoders are built inside RF switches or multi satellite LNBFs that route various satellite signals down the coax.
