Yes, the VIPER folks have the system tweaked and ready to do the job from anywhere in NC. Budget cuts forced closure of several dispatch centers but troopers can be dispatched from any of the comms centers with a click of the mouse. System works well in most of state

I want to clear something up on your post it wasn’t budget cuts that closed the center it was the Colonel an Lt. Colonel that went to the Governor at the time and wanted to give automatic raises back to the sworn personal and they were told If they could cut 1.5 million out of the budget yearly they could get it some they decided to close the 3 comm center.

I was very aware who was at the core of this. Bottom line, money had to come from somewhere in the budget. So, yes it could be called budget cuts. Do not deny personnel needed raises at the time as did many state workers
