It has been 2 days now and I hear no CT Police and my BCD536HP shows scanning but showing no frequency. My SDS200 does indicate frequency's but I hear nothing. Does anyone know if changes were made and to what type?

You will want to meander over to the Connecticut Radio Discussion Forum and take a look at the large CSERN
thread. The summary is that they have transitioned to a new radio system in the past week and that there is quite a bit of reprogramming needed.

Yes, massive changes have been made.
You'll need to just about totally reprogram your CSP system. I've been at it all week, since they made the changes on Tuesday.
Yes I see now as I did append CSERN to CT ST Pol. I still see no frequency's when the BCD536HP is scanning. Is it the (P25) in my system? Doctor help us out

I have all the frequency specified for each troop and departments. They were all done from the Sentinel.
I just wonder if the tower located close to me is no longer in use.
For me it is harder to get a signal on the new system. Many of the 700 P25 sites fall under a state wide license, however the Troop C simulcast has its own license and it has a lower ERP than the old system.

i am hearing the troops just fine in groton i have a 536 and a whistler trx-2
I can hear the troops on the 2096 but not bcd996xt. Why ?

Don't want to shill too hard for Proscan but it has been a massive help this week reprogramming the CSERN system into my SDS100. It gives you a level of granularity that sentinel just cannot match.
I was able to easily import everything from the database and edit... as opposed to waiting for the update from sentinel. I went ahead an purchased another license as I never deactivated the license from my other machine before it died. Figured Bob is a good dude and I like his software so what the hell.
In short... Proscan, import the CSERN, edit it down to what you need. Everything is working fine for me running and SDS100 form bristol.

"System Type" MUST be P25 Standard
Try putting in 853.9125 and see if you get anything

The 996xt does NOT decode/receive Phase2. The 996p2 does...

True, but I am receiving CSP fine on my 996XT and 396XT. (And 325P2)
ok the bcd996xt does not get phase 2 , but why does my old 2096 does ?

Your 996XT will work fine on the new P25 system as long as the talk group is FDMA, and 95% of them are currently
True, but the current CSERN system is using P25 Phase 1 for most talk groups so the 996XT will work fine for now
