I have never used the feature where you can input various tones/codes to single out agencies but now that I have two radio's with that capability I'd like to try.
The manual for my BCD396 seems pretty straight forward regarding this but I can't find much information in the PSR500's manual for this and I have searched these threads but still can't find the procedure.
I think I know how to set this up but I would like someone to walk me through it if possible.
Thanks

The easy way is to set it to search, then press "ENT" when the code is found.
Another way is to use software pull down menus in Win500 or PSREdit.

Manually:
PGM, EDIT (F2), right arrow to CONV (Function key), up/down arrow to the frequency, EDIT (F2), arrow down to "Sq Mode:", arrow right to the mode you want to use, i.e. CTCSS, arrow down once to "CTCSS Hz:", right arrow to the Search or specific code/frequency, Save (F1).

Thanks Dave
That's what I thought but wanted someone to confirm. I already have the frequencies programmed in and I know the CTCSS codes that I need so I can just program them in manually. I just wasn't sure about how to do that with the "Sq Mode" or "search" options.
Thanks again Dave
