Anybody know of any cup holder mounts for the SDS150 that hold the radio up and at about a 30 degree angle from vertical? Something like the desk mounts that are now popping up on eBay for the SDS150 (see attached image), but with a base that fits in the cup holder, would be ideal.

(There is one cup holder mount on eBay right now, but it doesn't look like it holds the radio at much of an angle if any, and definitely not up out of the cup holder.)

While it will be more expensive than an actual cup holder mount, I more prefer RAM mounts. You can get the RAM-A-CAN for the cup holder and build from there. In addition to the many mic clip type Ram compatible mounts, there's a locking mount for the Ram system as well (LM-EXP625MM Uniden SDS100 locking face plate To 1). The good part is that Ram is so universal, it serves just about everything that could use a mount so you can use the base system for other things as well.

I have the item listed above in #3 and can say that it works well for my SDS150.

I’ve tried something similar with the SDS100, didn’t care for it. Problem with those is they use the belt clip “button” on the back of the radio. Mine is removed so I can put the radio in a holster, and I’d prefer the cup holder where the radio just fits into it, much like the desk mounts.

Unfortunately not. I have been thinking about getting one myself, only problem is where to put it.

What‘s the link to the one you did?

I find it just a bit tight but its sturdy. That could be adjusted in the 3d file though. Which I might try.

Thanks, I’ll check that out and see if I can track down someone with a 3d printer.

If you have no luck let me know. We could figure something out. Im going to adjust this file to fit a bit better. The battery area is where its tight.

I can print it, but hate shipping - if you ever get close to Zville :)
Zanesville? A hop, skip and jump from here. In fact, I seem to recall needing to do some railroad archeology over that way....

I have one of those desk stands for the SD150. And, for what it’s worth, the SDS100 models also fit into it

Hey.. Its fits tight. I was just experimenting with my printed model and its due to the small rails that the battery slides in. I think they are either too large for the slots or they are offset enough they make the opening too small towards the back of the holder for the battery to fit well.
Just FYI.

This is what I use and it allows me to move it between vehicles. I keep my 150 in the Scanner Master hard leather case and it locks into the the large Ram X-Grip securely. got the X Grip, arm and the cup holder with 1” ball on Amazon.

Let me know - I have some ABS loaded and ready. What RR? Dad was a 40+ NYC, PennCentral, Conrail engineer.

My schedule is pretty full, so it won't be for a couple of weeks, thanks!

Mostly PRR and NYC, since most traces of them are gone.
