BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Custom firmware for BCD325P2?

I know there's openscanner and CustomFirmwareTuner for the BCDx36 and SDS scanners but I've been trying to find out if there's something like that for the 325 or even a BCT15X? The main thing I want is to just be able to hear the garbled encryption voice without the scanner just skipping over it (yes its stupid)

I was already interested in adding a TRX to my collection so I guess that's one more extra reason for it

I made a career and a pile of money as a financial software consultant simply because I was willing to do a little research on a "new" thing call google. That was decades ago and I am now happily retired.

I don't know any firmwares for the BCD325P2 or the 15X.

But about OpenScanner for BCD and SDS models : this firmware allows you to, yes, *hear* the encrypted trafic, but let's bring the precision that it is the *garbled* kind of noise of encrypted traffic that is "hearable".
This is like the Whistlers scanners that offer the choice of hearing this garbled sound, or a busy sound, or silence, on E traffic (as you know Unidens just skip over E traffic).
I did try OpenScanner, but i regret it as it messed up big time my BCD436. it was not a positive experiment; I reverted back to Uniden firmware, but the scanner is still slow and unreliable.

So, if i can recommend, be very careful with "alternate" firmwares, if there's ever one for the BCD325P2 or 15X. A Whistler scanner may be a better choice for you.

If you are reverting from OpenScanner firmware to the official firmware, it is necessary to lubricate the antenna connector with fish oil, after which the scanner becomes extremely fast
