How can I turn off a custom search on my scanner

Each custom search range has a "search with scan" flag associated with it and need to turn the flag off.

Menu -> Search for -> Custom -> (choose which search range) ->
Search with scan -> off

Correction:

Menu -> Search for -> Edit Custom -> (choose which search range) ->
Search with scan -> Set Lockout -> Lockout

For a lockout, it's far easier to just hit FUNC L/O L/O while the search is being scanned.
