Does anyone know what DALLAS ISSI is, that channel was very active yesterday??

Basically, it's a bridge or connection between different P25 systems. Usually when I hear these in the area, it's for motorcades associated with football and dignitaries. I believe they'll usually be patched to other channels on each system.

Fort Worth PD was VERY active (I saw at least 2 cars and 20 motor officers) yesterday in north Carrollton and The Colony doing escort service for the fallen Carrolton PD officer's family related to his funeral. This ISSI link might have been used to allow them to communicate this far away from their normal area of operation.

Please note that although I'm sure that the FWPD units were there for the fallen Carrollton officer (I was next up when they blocked the intersection I was at and turned onto Main Street / Josey Lane from Memorial Drive) on Sunday, the viewing is on Wednesday (10/26) and funeral is on Thursday (10/27) according to a CPD post, so you'll probably hear more calls on one or both of those days. There may be additional ISSI links since typically other PD/FD departments will take over for the local folks to allow them to attend the services and they'll need communications as well. Depending on the agency or agencies assisting, this may be on various systems, including the Denton County and Collin County systems (both the NTCOG systems and the normal systems that have coverage in Carrollton.
