We had several to give out today. All of them for the same reason.

If you are going to burn brush, don't light the fire and then go to church...then get pissed off at us for putting it out when it got out and burned half of your yard.

i do believe the point of a "controlled burn" is to have someone there to watch it in case it does get out of hand. that way they can call the fire department BEFORE it burns up your yard.

You would think so right? It amazes me how many calls we catch like that. Or you get the people that think because the grass is green it won't burn. That's my other favorite.
