RR is not blocked, its Uniden that people have issue connecting to. Some ISP block FTP ports I believe. For some, creating a hotspot thru cell phone has worked.

Which ISPs block FTP traffic?
The ISP I see most often when people have Sentinel update issues is T-Mobile Home Internet.
I know others have been mentioned but t-mobile was the most mentioned by far.
Charter (Spectrum) has been mentioned but I've never had an issue with Spectrum in my area. Same when I had at&t DSL, no issues there either.

I run Sentinel on ASUS Windows 11 laptop I got for $113 (Best Buy open box). Also got RadioReference Premium and bought a Proscan license.
This cheap laptop with small hard drive and minimal memory works well with Sentinel and Proscan.

ASUS EProcessor Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver N6000 @ 1.10GHz 1.11 GHz
Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.78 GB usable)

This is my dedicated scanner programming laptop, so I don't need fast CPU or big memory to do what I need. Works great!

I use Sentinel to update firmware and full database.
I build and program my favorites in Pro Scan.

I kept an eye out for any pop-ups having to do with permissions or port access on the system. Connected and ran with no issues on this bare-bones bargain laptop. (FYI for anyone not looking to drop big money on a laptop to program scanners...)

Wouldn't hurt to run a system file scan on your windows. I do that about once a week. Windows 11 is so full of bugs these days.

What Windows 11 issues are you experiencing while downloading from RadioReference? Sentinel uses FTP to download the weekly database updates and occasional firmware updates. Unless an ISP is blocking FTP or there is a firewall blocking FTP, I would think this process should work every time.

Windows in french with canadian parameters was part of the problem. As for the rest, don't know. Working fine now. Case closed.

Oh, I haven't had any problems with Sentinel. It was just a suggestion, as I have seen corrupted windows files cause some very strange problems. Windows 11 has been a real nightmare with all of its bugs. On Patch Tuesday, they patch fix one problem only to create other problems. :ROFLMAO:
