Just checking in so excited for this transition this has been a long time coming hopefully there is no big issues well with the logistics of getting everyone set and such looks like it will be sector roll out which seems like the smart thing to do

Now I need to buy a new radio my $25 UV-82 has served me well listening to Sec 5 over the years

I will wait for SDS150 to be in stock on Amazon I have $98,418 points on my account so I can basically get the radio for free glad I was patient with my points definitely will help me out

The cutover can't come soon enough. Listening to the Haverford job on Friday afternoon in the area of County Line and Eagle (which isn't that far from one of the tower sites for Fire 4) the radios were deplorable. Portables kept cutting out and comms in general were hard to decipher on my HT1250 (especially those with Montco 25 who was on the call). Also someone pointed out to me and I even noticed myself that Sector 1 sounds off frequency and the comms aren't the greatest anymore.

I've always gotten "picket fencing" from PD Sectors 1 & 2 & Fire 4 no matter where in Delco I was, even well within the intended coverage areas

I know this is off topic but could you explain these Amazon points, I have spent a ton of money at Amazon over the years, I have had Prime since I joined in like 2002 or thereabouts. I never heard of them but I could buy a house with them if I had ??? Start a private convo if you feel like not derailing this thread please.

More than likely a side effect of the simulcast. Another thing ive noticed is alot
of people programmed them narrowband when they weren’t except one or two frequencies.

I never had it on my NX’s or in my portables.
