Hi again. I figured I’d start a new thread for this question.
I purchased the Diamond F23, it’s arriving today. I'm relatively ignorant when it comes to any sort of cutting or tuning, so forgive me with that. I really have only had a pre tuned J-pole. How would I go about tuning it to the 160MHZ range? I see the cutting chart but I cant make any sense of it. Do I have to uncoil the copper wire? I heard about an SWR meter but I don't plan on transmitting, not sure if that'll change any answer
Below is a photo of the cutting chart.. I’m also not sure what I would use to cut it. Would a hacksaw and pliers work?
Thanks
Andrew

It's the length of the metal rods when they are installed, the part that can be detached by loosen a screw, that you measure. I believe the chart shows the default lengths, so verify with those. Cut with whatever tool that will allow you to do the job.
