Sorry, they already shipped my SDS200 back and I received it a few days ago.I have sent a note to the service dept with that SRO for evaluation. Can you describe your pop issue?
I described the pop issue in detail in message in #1 above.
According the the FTC website "if you reported a defect to the company during the warranty period and the product wasn't fixed properly, the company must correct the problem, even if your warranty expires before the product is fixed".
I trust Uniden will fix my SDS200 for free out of warranty once they find a solution to the pop issue and I don't feel I should have to pay a second time to ship it back because the repair tech didn't repair the defect because he said other units do it even though other users of this forum say their SDS200 does not have the pop issue.
