Do we have a way to get the Digital Threshold Level manually on the SDS200?

Digital threshold doesn't apply to I/Q receivers that demodulate digitally. There's no real need to adjust anything manually; the SDS models process simulcast and P25 without needing manual settings tweaks.

So I'm curious, after some research around some issues I'm having with transmission being cut off at the end or beginning a lot of information seemed to point at Digital Threshold. So there is no way to manipulate that with a SDS100 ?

Threshold is a setting for a process not used by the digital receiver in the SDS models. It's a buggy whip for a Ferrari.

If I might suggest after having this issue myself on my P2 simulcast system, there is no question that filter adjustment does make a big difference and when I went from the default Global setting of normal and went into the one site I have active and changed the filter to invert there was a marked improvement in reception including clipped transmissions, your filter selection will depend on your IF environment but I also have solved the clipping, broken transmission problem entirely by...

Increasing the system hold time. Right on the radio itself go to menu, manage favorites, choose the favorites list, review edit system, find the system, edit system option, set hold time, choose two seconds by pressing two, press enter and back out of the menu. See if that helps. It of course does slowdown scanning a little bit so if it does work do the process again and see if you can get away with using one second instead of two. When you hook up to Sentinel again be sure to move the card over to the computer first thing so the changes you made are saved on your profile.

By the way, this works on the X36s also. Just like selecting a filter for a particular site, setting hold time option requires the system to be on a favorites list.

Hope that helps... Bob.
