I received my SDS150 today and it seems to work quite well. One issue I had was the programing cable having C connectors at each end. My computer needs a usb a connector. I ordered from Scannermaster a correct cable and I did have an old connector that worked temporarily. So my SDS150 is now programmed exactly like my SDS200 until I tweak it the way I want it. My real issue is I cannot pair my phone to the scanner. I installed U/WARE and it tries to pair. The scanner and phone seem to be set up correctly, but it is saying poor blue tooth signal and also my password and pin do not match. I did not know I had a pin #. Regarding the scanner the reception is great and clear. I hope I can resolve the Bluetooth issue.

If the Bluetooth Function in the Settings screen on the SDS 150 is Enabled and your phone's Bluetooth is turned on, the app should see and pair with the scanner. I just unpaired and re-paired my scanner without issue. I also did not get prompted for a password or pin. That might be because I already had it paired? I can't remember if I had to enter a password or pin when I initially set up the app.

When you try to pair, do you get a screen similar to the one below? Also, keep in mind that the range is VERY short so both scanner and phone should be in the same room. I keep mine side by side when pairing.

I agree with you on all you said. bluetooth turned on for both and you can see it trying to pair. The screen is just like yours. A very brief message regarding the pass code and pin appear on the bottom then disappear. Screen shows my named sds150. I is a head scratcher....scanner shows pairing processing. My phone and scanner are next to each other.

I just went into my SDS 150 and selected "Reset Pairing". Now I am getting a message "The Connection Timed Out." Will continue working with this and will let you know if I get my app back up and running.

OK I just hit reset pairing and attempted again. It worked. I thought I tried that before. So It is paired now. I thought the wheel on the bottom of the screen was for volume. I was wrong. So far I like the SDS150. I traded my 3 year old unication G4 for this thru Main Trading Co

While different scenarios, when I pair my phone with my tablet etc I see a message pop up saying a pin and I click pair.

I realize this might not help and im talking about pairing in general not the sds150 to u aware app, but the pin thing I've seen before u shud be able click it where it says "pair" in the pin message u get. Not sure why it wud disappear before u can click it.

I haven't been able to get my SDS150 to pair successfully with either my tablet or car radio since I updated the firmware.
Try these steps in order, users (including in this thread) have resolved post-firmware Bluetooth pairing issues with the SDS150 this way:
  • On the scanner: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > Reset Pairing (or similar option). Confirm it resets.
  • On your tablet:
    • Go to Bluetooth settings.
    • Find the SDS150 entry and Forget/Delete it completely.
    • Turn Bluetooth off, wait 10–15 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • On the U/Aware app:
    • Delete/remove the scanner from the app if it's listed.
    • Close the app completely (force quit).
    • Re-open the app and try to pair again. Keep the tablet right next to the scanner (Bluetooth range on these is very short).
  • Power cycle everything: Turn the scanner off, unplug it for ~30 seconds if possible, then restart. Do the same for the tablet.
  • If it still fails after that, try:
    • Reinstalling U/Aware from scratch.
    • Testing with another Android device to isolate whether it's the tablet/car radio or the scanner.
