Is there a Discord for Kiwi scanner listeners? If not, keen to set one up, but it would be cool to keep in touch with everyone and chat about stuff that's going on.
We have a private Discord server dedicated to the entire pager network, and we are currently working on establishing radio communication for Fire and Emergency, St John, and local rescue helicopters in Canterbury. The server has been active for almost eight months.
I developed this by myself, and it features alert triggers set up for Christchurch and Ashburton at the moment. This means that while you are in a channel on Discord, you can hear real-time alerts, such as a medical response from St John. The alert is sent to Discord via tone, followed by the sound of the fire siren winding up about 30 seconds later, depending on the station.
The pages are all in near real-time, with a minimal delay from the radio to the console onto the discord being 0.3s. If you're interested, please provide a way to contact you privately. This information is only available to trusted users who do not share what they see or hear.
