I have a question about doing a tap on my scanner concerning the parts involved.I bought some resistors and Tantelum Capaciters for the tap,would a cap and resistor both be required or just one of either? I need help, the scanners are BC780xlt and a BC996t.Thank you.Tony.

You might want to reference this thread: http://www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=290 . I think there are other threads already on here that talk about the reasons for using both a resistor and a capacitor, or just a resistor, or if you are throwing caution to the wind, neither.
