So I do have that frequency as part of a moto trbo system (here in KC this is part of a large DMR system called Motonet. And that system runs fine on my sds100.

So what kind of frequencies is DMR OTF limited to? Because I’ve tried lots of different DMR freqs and have yet to get it to hear anything

Thanks

There's no limit to frequency usage. Whether it's set up as conventional or Trunking is up to how it was licensed.

If you're trying to monitor a MotoTRBO system as DMR OFT on Unidens, you'll have the same results. Watch the indicator when you're receiving a transmission and it will give you a hint.

The GRE's are a totally different ballgame and don't trunk track these systems.

Except my issue isn’t so much getting that frequency to work - my issue is I’ve never gotten DMR One Frequency program to ever work on my sds100.

As I mentioned, if the frequencies you're trying to monitor are indicating Cap+ or Con+, DMR OFT will not decode as a GRE, so don't get hung up on that. You're programming appeared correct, I just made a couple of adjustments that made no difference. It's not "deaf" as much as it appears to be an incorrectly programmed system.

Post the database links if they're listed and we'll let you know if you can OFT them

Would these types of DMR freqs work - circled in the photo attached below - in an OFT program?

No...only DMR Conventional will accurately work in an OFT system. This system will require a system set up as MotoTRBO, require LCN's Color Codes for each frequency, ID Scan or ID Search and it will track talkgroups.

Oh I see. No wonder. I guess I’ve been putting the wrong type of DMR frequencies in the OFT. I’ll try to find a conventional DMR around me to put in there.

Yes, that appears to be the confusion. Coming from a GRE scanner that doesn't trunk track these systems, it's understandable. I think you got it now, have fun on the hunt.

All kinds of trunked DMR frequencies work when programmed as OFT. I've done that to both DMRIII and CAP+.
But you picture show the TRX-1 having full signal and the SDS100 have a RSSI that starts wirh a 1, something in the -1xx dBm range that are a very weak signal. But you said it worked fine programmed as conventional?

Maybe you have the filter set differently in conventional compared to that new OFT system?

Yeah, DMR traffic comes in fine through conventional or even if I plug that frequency into my waterfall mode - traffic comes through fine. But nothing when put in an OFT system
