ProScan: DMR or Conventional?

On digital frequency search, there are a bunch of DMR frequencies in my county. But do I enter those in ProScan as Conventional or as a DMR channel?

Dmr in general can be conventional or trunked. You need to read the license to determine if the freqs are conventional or part of a trunked system. Also, use freqs that are labeled MO are mobile and generally lower power and or inputs to the repeater. Those are not the ones you want. .

It would help if you linked the license and not just a screenshot of the digital frequency search result. You'll want to focus on the radio service field when examining FCC licenses and this should give you a clue. Yes, exceptions do exist. Just because a license is listed as "YG" for example doesn't 100% guarantee frequencies listed are all trunked. Some could be used conventionally, so detective work is key


Though from what I was able to gather from the screenshot those type "MOs" are mobile only meaning they're either inputs or used as simplex only. You'll want to program in any FBs or FB2s if listed as these are repeated. The MOs will only monitorable in extreme close proximity to transmitting units

Only by You/Local Monitoring will it be known if Conventional or Trunked
However "reading between the lines" since your snip-it shows only "MO" Stations and no FB2/FB4 etc Repeaters, it is on-site low power Simplex only
