Using 996p2 with 1 freq trunk DMR, 1 slot with constant data stream and 1 slot for voice. Latest firmware use
Will not hold on the system to do ID search or ID scan.
How do I get to do the ID search?
It seems the scanner looks for TG info in the constant data stream and because it does not find it, it moves on.
It decodes the digital voice clearly in conv. mode.

Dont think i have ever seen a constant data stream on a single frequency. That implies its Connect Plus and im not sure connect plus can do single frequency trunking.
I know Capactiy plus can do one frequency trunking but thats a data burst not continuous stream of data.

Could you please explain some more. How can it be a trunked DMR system with only one slot of voice?
Where does the trunk happen? What system is this, where is it and what's the frequency?

The other day I was using DSD+ to check out some new DMR frequencies in my area. Actually, frequencies that were analog a few months ago, but are now DMR. I found one local DPW that uses DMR on UHF. One slot sends constant AVL data, the other slot is voice. On DSD+, because of the way I had it set up, it all looked like one channel.

For the Uniden, I think you can set it up as a one frequency trunk system. That way if there is a TG assigned to the data only channel, you can set it to avoid and then search for any other TGs there might be.

If they use all those different TG's in the system I would say it uses more than one frequency. It's not logical that the system designer only let them have one slot to use for all the TG's.

That data channel must be a control channel for a trunked DT3 system and there are at least one more frequency you'll need to find.

It is normal that the scanner does not hold on to a control channel when it is idle and not carry any info of any ongoing conversations. It would otherwise not scan other systems that do carry conversations.

I guess that if you scan this steel mill system and only one other system you will catch the traffic as often as you do when you have the system programmed as conventional.

Search that 460MHz band for more frequencies of this system

Which Company? Where is the mill? Which County? I can run through FCC data for lic and see whats what. If US Steel, use of DMR would be interesting as they are going to an NexEDGE NXDN TRS at most locations.

I have it figured out, they are on trial of a new setup. It is not completely assembled yet and is setup for testing. Causing indifferences.

Thanks
