I was pondering a way to search and find NAC and Color Codes for a local DMR T3 system. I tried programming this system using RRDB data but once scanning resumed after the programming nothing heard. I had to wipe the system off then reprogram as DMR single frequency conventional for each listed frequency for this system. Then I heard traffic on those listed frequencies.

My goal is to be able to "HOLD" on any talk group at a given time. Can't do that whilst the DMR system is programmed as single frequency conventional. I thought maybe ARC XT Pro might be able to assist in some way to find the NAC and Color Code. Scanner is BCD325P2. My knowledge is none on DMR T3. I done this before for a CAP+ system in DSD+FL but the two work differently. I no longer use DSD+FL nor any other computer based trunking software. (I reserve my SDR's for HF reception.)

I have never done this kind of system sleuthing using a DMA scanner before. Unknowns are difficult to sleuth.

I have ARC XT PRO and Basic both paid full versions.

For the true scanner user geek the toy of choice is a Uniden SDS scanner as the display will show the most information about said system or frequency. If your choice is to not use a scanner then a USB SDR would be another choice.
Cannot afford to buy a SDS 100 nor SDS 200. I took what I can get and am happy with it. Your opinion is just your opinion and doesn't matter to me at all. This thread is not about "true scanner geek". It is about sleuthing whether it be fining LCN's or finding out the software has a bug in it. Please stay on the focus of the thread. As the OP I can say this. I have already ironed out the issue with not hearing any traffic in DMR T3. It was ARC XT PRO not imported the LCN's correctly and I found that manually entering the LCN's into the scanner corrected the issue. I did not talk about what makes a "scanner geek".

Did the author reply to you when you emailed him with the bug info?
I couldn't find a support email. I used the 'contact us' form at Butel Software's web portal.

edit: I loaded the software and there is an update which corrected the RRDB import issue

It did resolve

Thanks @Butelsoftware for being such a great software developer for the scanners!

Issue is resolved.

+200 for Arc XT!

I'm here in Grove OK and the county switched to a DMR T3 system earlier this year. Like you, I've not had any luck programing this new system. I now have them programed as single frequency BUT it just locks on the CC frequency and doesn't scan. The only good news is that I hear every dispatch and for ALL groups on this one frequency. I know it's better than nothing but with it locked on the CC frequency I can't scan any other things in the county. Short of buying another scanner to receive other things in the county I'm at whits end.
