DMR upgrade purchase problem

When entering my scanner's serial number at the myuniden.com website to purchase a DMR upgrade key it tells me to enter the 9 digit serial number. If I enter 9 digits it says to hit the back button and only put in 8 digits. If I only put in 8 digits it says to hit the back button and enter the full 9 digits. And we round and round. Who's on first? How do I get past this and get it to accept the serial number?

are you putting in "-"s? (I believe you are supposed to - it's been a while since I did it)

You must enter everything, including the dashes.

Yep, I actually had to take the dash out. I went back and deleted my registration and re-registered without the dash then I went to the screen where you enter the ESN and it took it. When I saw that my 436's serial number did not have the dash in it when I clicked on "my scanners" I went back and took the dash out of the 536 and it worked.
