I just picked up a nice whistler ws 1098 and it had medford-DMR assigned to it from the previous owner. But after i reformatted it the medford DMR seemed to disappear. and can't retrieve it. i want to do the same entry for my are Franklin county mo. -DMR if thats possible how do i do that?

A format will erase everything on a card. I never owned a Whistler so I cant give programming steps, but this is an easier to read manual for that radio and should get you going.

Download ezscan for that model scanner from whistlergroup.com, update the library, use prepare card to get the library on the card and the configuration etc. Now to get the sytstem you want...... open library import tab, select "preferred" as the method. pick and choose exactly what you want, assign it a scan list, enable that scanlist, then copy the configuration to the scanner/sd card, when done...in windows, eject the card.

If you used a card reader, then physically remove the card and put back in the scanner.

Power on the scanner, press scan and you should be scanning!
