Just kind of throwing this out there:

Anyone actively monitoring DMR in Delaware?

I'd like to experiment with it, having a SDS100 with no current DMR upgrade and a Unication G5 UHF with DMR capabilities. If need be, I figured it would be cheaper to upgrade the SDS for DMR than spend $350 for the newer BCD260DN radio. Checking license info with Digital Frequency Search, there seems to a lot of listings.

Feel free to share your experiences.

Thanks,

There are a few ID'ed conventional stations in your county (noteably Amazon). I've spun the dial and caught some un-ID'ed stations as well but am rarely ever in DE long enough to confirm IDs for hits, some in DE, some not. A few ID'ed trunked systems as well. You shouldn't have a problem finding DMR stations to listen to be it in DE or elsewhere. I never leave home without at least one DMR capable receiver

Hello,

There are a few DMR users that can be monitored in the State, Amazon as mentioned, School Districts (Appoquinimink), and CON+ or CAP+ Systems not local to State. Most CON+ or CAP+ Systems local to State are Encrypted (U of DE, Christiana Healthcare Services, Artesian Water). There are a few NXDN Systems to monitor as well if interested.

Thanks to all that replied.

Are NXDN systems employing wide spread encryption as well?

Pro tip: Have a look at the "Mode" column in any given table in the database be it conventional or trunked. Any time you see an uppercase "E" as a suffix this indicates full encryption (as in "DE, "TE", P25E, DMRE or NXDNE). a lowercase "e" would denote partial encryption (as in "De, "TEe", P25e, DMRe or NXDNe)

What DMR hand helds do you use/own?
I'm looking into getting one.
