As posted above, do any amateur radio portables currently have the ability to share location data and display it on the device itself?

Yaesu FT2's and FT3's can do this either with Band B set up for APRS or when using C4FM by itself in the D mode (not W). No maps. Using APRS they would show up on APRS.fi when in range of a digipeater. I have heard that the C4FM position data can be used with APRS.fi but have not ever found a way to do this. Maybe someone else has this answer.

I'm decades removed from my old APRS days, but I remember using a software program, I think it was called WinAPRS, hooked to the radio which showed my location, and everyone else's on the laptop screen. I used a Kenwood V7A and a Kantronics KPC-9612 with a laptop (three pieces of equipment). Now days you can get that down to at least two pieces of equipment with a HT and laptop, maybe even a tablet.

As said none will display on a map. Depending on use the FTM400 with BT is ideal setup with a tablet and APRS Droid. Just used mine over the weekend and was impressed with it. Couldn't use in the woods but for home or mobile use its a good option.
