DO NOT SCAN FULL DATABASE

I saw a few days ago someone had asked if you could avoid scanning the full database and now I cannot find it. I have my favorites setup but would like to avoid full database if possible. Any help?? Sorry for the post. I just found it and it works.

Be sure and also correct your Profile in Sentinel. In Sentinel, where you specify which Favorites lists to be downloaded and/or monitored, there is a checkbox to set the main database to be monitored as well. Uncheck that box so that the scanner does not start scanning the database every time you load an update to one of your Favorites lists.

Another way could be that when you hook up to Sentinel, first thing you do is transfer data from the radio to your profile so as to permanently save any changes you made on the radio manually through the menu.
