Is their anyone that lives in Douglas Co. Ga. can PM me some updates for Douglas Co. Ga.
I have been hearing Co. wide Fire Dept. & Medics dispatch on 152.750 repeater output
I just found their input on 158.015 , If I got the right Input freq.
They are not listed on the FCC database as being licensed for those frequencies
Does anyone have any info on those freq's.
The repeaters CW ID is WPZG506
Their is no listing for 152.750 or 158.015
I was unable to copy any CTCSS PL Or DCS PL unless they are trunked
Can you monitor the Co. 800 MHz. system with a digital trunking scanner
What are the current Control Channels?

I know the FD is working on that frequency as part of a LTR system that is in use (thus no control channel). So far, it's just a 2 channel LTR.

That may explian why I am hearing them but cannot get a PL tone
The 152.750 is listed on R/R but they are not licensed for that freq. nor are they licensed
for 158.015
The CW callsign they are transmitting is wpzg506 but none of those freq's are listed under that callsign

Has anyone heard them on any other freq's or are thay being simulcast on 800 MHz. any

Codeplug: b7spectra was correct. Douglas County Fire operates on a 2-frequency LTR system. Actually, Douglas County's page here on RR shows the two frequencies - 152.750 and 152.570. However, the owner of the LTR system using those two frequencies seems to be a mystery.

As it turns out, you can either monitor DCFD programming it as an LTR system, OR, you can actuallu monitor 152.750 conventionally and you will hear about 99.9% of the radio traffic.I've done it both ways side-by-side and using just the one frequency works just as easily.

Let me know if I can help further.

Thanks
How do I need to program a scanner to pick it up in LTR
I don’t think a pro 96 will do it , because it does not have LTR
But I may can do it on another scanner that has LTR
Is their is any special settings other than the freq. and setting the radio for LTR mode
The last time I was through their I had my scanner monitoring on 152.750 output and then I found the 158.015 as the input
Is their any traffic on 152.570? I don’t think I heard anything on that freq. but I may have missed it
I wasn’t sure if I had the right freq.'s so I scanned through the band to see if I could hear anything different.
I thought I heard the Dispatch being called either Douglas Co. or 911, I will have to listen
A little more closely next time to hear what they are called.
I did notice that they may have a daily radio test at 7:00 AM or something close to that time.
I also monitored 153.200 & 153.305 in Carroll Co. or Douglas Co.
I used to hear a good bit of traffic on both of those freq.’s but lately I have only heard a little traffic on 153.305. I still hear a CW ID on both freq.’s
R/R does not have them listed but the are listed under call sign WPQK729
The freq.’s are listed as business but I have heard law enforcement using those freq.’s
I wasn’t sure if those freq.’s were still active or if they had move over to 800 MHz.
I know some counties like Bartow Co. still uses the VHF low on 46.080 to dispatch Fire on and wasn’t sure if Douglas Co. had something similar or if the were on VHF high like most other fire dispatch.
I know R/R list a couple of VHF low freq.’s for Douglas Co. but I didn’t know if they were using them or not.
I know a lot of counties are slowly moving over to APCO 25 or 800 MHz.
I haven’t done much 800 monitoring around Douglas Co. and wasn’t sure how much traffic there was.
It looks like there is going to be four counties on the new 800 system
I wonder if you can hear all four counties at the same time on the same system or is all of them on different systems
In Alabama most of the 800 systems are all different and you have to set up multiple banks to hear all of the systems while traveling

Dang, Codeplug. I'm not sure I'm going to live long enough to reply to all that. :) Just kidding, whatever kind of scanner you have, it should tell you how to program an LTR system. BUT, if you notice what I said, if you'll just monitor 152.750, you'll hear 99.98% of what they say!!!

codeplug i worked for douglas county fire for 30 yrs. They are using a 2 chanel ltr system. They do not have any 800 system. If you listen to 152.750 on your scanner and if you hear 911 say go to tac 2 which is a fireground freq you can still hear tac 2 on 152.750 and i dont know why but you do. The licence comes from a radio shop in carrollton, who installed the radios. Mr. jones owns the freqs he brought from the fcc at auction a few years back and owns a lot others for paging etc. The only other freq we used to use is hear 1 (155.340) which is to talk to the ER for pt. reports. And that is the only 2 freqs we ever used. sometimes on a bad truama call when going code 2c to grady(trauma center) the paramedic would use his/her cell phone and call 911 pvt line and have the pt. info relayed to SEC in the ER at grady. If you need any more info let me know.

The only 800 system is in use for Douglas County is the Douglasville system. Douglasville Police are also using the Cobb DTRS.

Kermit - I got stationed at Station 1 during my EMT training. Tommy Gaylor was my instructor. Ring a bell?
