Tac, short for Tactical, are SWAT-trained troopers.

7CI is probably one of the encrypted talkgroups on the AZWINS 700 MHz system as Cellphone said.

The Tac and GIITEM troopers use the Zebra callsigns you may have heard on 460.5000 and the two unencrypted talkgroups on AZWINS. (TG's 1013 and 1014.)

I was at my moms two blocks away when that all went down, heard the crash and the shots. we were out back sitting around the firepit.
There was so many patrol cars and even a half hour later as i leaving my moms, they were still flying down the freeway going to the scene.

Yes that was some of the best scanner fun I've had in a while I must say. The new SDS200 did a good job covering the whole thing from the 700 MHz WINS side of DPS, to the 800 MHz MCSO smartzone system, to the UHF side of DPS, to RWC simulcast G for interop G Dec and Fire, to the AM air band where the DPS Ranger and Phoenix PD Firebird coordinated from afar as they switched off on scene. Gotta love interop stuff. That was also the first time I've heard Buckeye police in action in a long time.
