Okay, I find the answers usually by experimenting, but maybe someone can help me out with the new update. If I had a system with GPS where would that be displayed, in the event screen/log, packet data screen or where?

If you were really lucky you would see information in your event log that mentions LRRP, and would show you latitude, longitude, speed, direction. If there is LRRP data being sent, but which can’t be decoded, then you will likely still see LRRP references in the event log but no actual data.

I think I can’t say for sure that the packet window is only for P 25 stuff, and I think it the same thing applies to the files. If you were monitoring a P 25 system you would see LRRP messages in the packet window or at least references to LRRP.

On our local state system, a Motorola P 25 system, I’ve only seen one agency that is generating LRRP references. But there’s no actual location at the present so I’m guessing that this particular LRRP solution being used is one that DSD plus doesn’t know how to decode.

But I’ve seen plenty of ARS/LRRP messages on DMR systems and plenty of LRRP messages on NXDN systems for years now.

Just a side note, the packet data also works on P25 conventional, I saw that today. On our local P25 system data is assigned to one frequency, which changes on a fairly often basis, and you must be on that frequency to copy the data.

It's not that he was "insisting" on anything. He was referring your grammar.

lets start with the simple things (improved audio quality)
but if you insist on more .. then suport for hack rf or rsp series receivers

Don’t you feel better now that you have shared your thoughts :). I can’t speak as to audio quality because I never had a problem with the audio quality. I can’t speak aboiut HackRF support but I suppose a lot of people do have those. As far as I know, Fast Lane supports RSP devices

It was both actually. I mean I wasn’t insisting on anything, but I was wanting him to Xpress the rest of his thought, which I figured it was a critique of the software. And the only way the software is going to support more things is for somebody to state what they would like to see. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee it will happen. But if nobody asks for new things, nothing new will ever be added.

I think depending on the color scheme, lrrp messages show in event window in purple or magenta.

The new Duke P25 L3Harris system in my area has very little voice traffic right now, so I can NOT provide multiple examples, sorry, but this shows an example, from real transmission, of Talker Alias and GPS Location information (see bold yellow text):

However, this info was only in the 1R log, not the Event window or log. Maybe because it is not shown as LRRP information.

Yup, it's in the notes.txt

Using DSD+ with supported SDR devices

DSD+ directly supports trunk tracking (control/rest channel following and voice channel
following) of NEXEDGE, Capacity Plus, Connect Plus, Tier III and P25 Phase I/II systems
when coupled with one or two RTL2832U-based DVB-T dongles, Airspys or SDRPlay RSP2s.

The FMPP program is used with SDRPlay RSP2s. Your RSP2 serial number(s) should be added
to the FMPP.cfg file.

Single-dongle monitoring:

To use a single device, run the 1R.bat file to start DSD+,
then run the appropriate batch file for your device:

DVB-T dongle: FMP24-CC.bat

Airspy: FMPA-CC.bat

SDRPLay: FMPP-CC.bat

FMPP 1.22

Minor internal changes.

Updated to SDRPlay API version 3.11

sdrplay_api.dll

DLL for SDRPlay API version 3.11; this file should be in FMPP's working folder.

FMPP 1.17

Added support for RSP1.
Enter RSP1 device serial number (0000000001) in first line of FMPP.cfg file.
Use j/J and k/K to adjust RSP1 LNA and IF gains.
If USB connection to an SDRPlay device is lost while FMPP is running,
SDRPlay API Service may stop; exit FMPP, restart SDRPlay API Service, restart FMPP.

Does it show as yellow or is that what you used in the post?

I added the bold and yellow so you could see what I was talking about. And yes, I have seen the purple with Packet Data on P25, what you are showing me the looks like DMR, a different animal.

I wish for a scan/search delay and to make -b-12.5 work on AirSpy. I also notice ENC TGs are really dark and you almost can't see 'em. I at least wanna be able to see 'em. Also, the packet data window could use a word wrap cause I have text chopped off at the right. Thanks.

If you mean using the scanlist, there is a delay setting for FMP24 but not for FMPP or FMPA. Was really hoping that would have been added, along with a PPM, and 6 and 10 mhz for Airspy.

-b-12.5 work on AirSpy
Are you scanning Provoice?

Incase you did not read the notes file, because many people do not,

DSD+ 2.176

By request, added a mode that hides traffic that is below the current monitoring threshold.
Press B in DSD+ to cycle through modes. Use T/t to adjust monitoring threshold.
Hidden traffic will not appear in the event window and will be dimmed in the channel window.
And as @GTR8000 posted in a different thread, B, and T\t, and many other keyboard commands are no more.

The function of T/t can still be done via Control-Monitoring Threshold

Did you try enlarging the window and playing with the font size?

Also in the notes file, that many people do not read, the data from the window seems to get written into 2 text files that are in your DSDPlus directory. Those can be opened in notepad and notepad++ and have word wrap.

DSDPlus notes.txt said:
Raw P25 packet data messages are written to a text file
named [mode-]DSDPlus[#modifier].packetData; each data block in a message is written
to a separate text line as hexadecimal byte values and ASCII text strings.

Raw P25 packet data messages are also written to a text file
named [mode-]DSDPlus[#modifier].packetData2; each complete data message is written
to a single separate text line as hexadecimal byte values. The message data in this file
can be sorted on any message byte offset by the Windows SORT command for analysis purposes.

Raw P25 packet data messages are also displayed in the DSD+ Packet Data window.
This scrollable window can buffer/display up to 500,000 lines of data.
P25 packet data is only buffered for this window when the window is open;
each time the window is closed/reopened, it will start with a blank display / no data.

I was hoping for a delay while on search mode. I don't scan ProVoice cause it's all ENC here. I will try B and T/t, thanks. I've tried everything with the font and have the window size stretched to the max and it's still chopped off.

I also with there was a way to click on private calls to listen in if you see one pop up.

I asked about Provoice 12.5 because it seems like you want to force that setting. Anything assumed to be anything other than digital defaults to 12.5.
