If the destination cannot be created it is probably due to security issues. The user or program has no privileges where the files should go. Try doing the extract as an admin, or output the DSD program files to a different folder or drive.

There is no Windows Installer for DSDPlus. You simply overwrite with the new files (after backing up the previous files of course) and use the same way you previously used to start the program.

@Patrol1949 - One of your earlier posts suggested you want to run SDR# with DSDPlus Fastlane. I recommend that you DON'T DO THAT. Use the tools you just downloaded. Using Notepad, create a batch file in the same folder you saved your DSDPlus files. Add the next two lines to Notepad:

Start CMD /c dsdplus
Start CMD /c FMP24.exe -o20001 -f151.9850 -g14.4

I recommend you change the frequency from the example of 151.9850 to the DMR frequency you want to decode.

From the Notepad menu, Click File
Click Save As
A dialog box appears. In the File name box, type runme.bat
Now click on the Save as type dropdown
Change the Save as type from Text Documents (*.txt) to All Files
Make sure you are in the folder where you saved the DSDPlus files. For me, this is C:\DSDPlus
Click the Save button

If you haven't already done so, start a command prompt and navigate to the folder you saved the batch file. Example:
C:\users\username>cd \dsdplus

Now you can start DSDPlus and FMP24 using the batch file you just created
C:\DSDPlus>runme.bat

I just want to say good luck, we're all counting on you.

Ok what I was hoping for was the order of the folder opening and adding the files

within each folder I hope as this is new to me and I do not have a clue where to start.

Thank you.

Dave.

@Patrol1949 - You posted that you solved the problem. Where did you put the files you extracted with 7-Zip?

Based on your responses, you might be better off watching a YouTube video to help you through the basics. The link below will help you extract the files and setup a folder so you can run DSDPlus Fastlane.

All frequencies in use in UK has to go thru WTR and Ofcom and are in their database. Go to Steve Holloways facebook page called Free Scanner Software and he has a program that lists all frequencies within a certain range and location in England and part of Ireland.

The SDR# program has a search plugin but can be a bit difficult to configure and the noise level are different in different frequency bands so probably best to search part of a frequency band. If the signal are strong it works well and can scan a huge frequency range, like VHF-air 118-137MHz in 2 seconds.

As Ofcom has all frequency licenses in their database you would only be able to catch any illegal transmissions not in the database when you search.

You can use a virtual audio cable program to route the output from SDR# to DSDPlus to decode most of the digital signals.

One thing that can be done in SDR# are to record the IF signal to harddrive. Then you can play that file and listen to all the signals in that spectrum and play it over and over again to listen to everything that happened during the time the recording where done.

@Patrol1949 - Did you follow the video and get DSDPlus Fastlane up and running? If you follow the instructions from the video, you should be using using FMP24 and DSDPlus. That is all that you really need.
