DSDPlus Fast Lane - Desktop Presentation (Configuration)
Are you tired of wrestling with placement of your DSDPlus Fast Lane screens every time you start up your program files?
Would you like a consistent presentation of your screens on the desktop?
The screen capture below was taken from my Lenovo ThinkPad to illustrate the appearance of my installation of DSDPLus Fast Lane
that starts from just single shortcut (.lnk) on the desktop.

Please reference the attached zip archive. There you'll find DSD + MPSCS, the shortcut used to initiate scanning of the nearby MPSCS P25 system.
This shortcut points to C:\DSDPlus\MPSCS.bat that starts the ball rolling. The mpscs.bat file calls two additional shortcuts, C:\DSDPlus\FMP24_CC_bat.lnk
and C:\DSDPlus\1R_bat.lnk. More on these in a moment....
C:\DSDPlus\FMP24_CC_bat.lnk calls C:\DSDPlus\FMP24-CC.bat that loads and passes the configuration arguments to fmp24exe.
C:\DSDPlus\1R_bat.lnk calls C:\DSDPlus\1R.bat that loads and passes configuration arguments to DSDPlus.exe.
The purpose of the two shortcuts is to allow you to configure window placement, window size, font sets, and etc. Examine the Layout Tab in the Properties for
each of these two link files. These settings work in conjunction with your source audio, event log, and channel activity window settings to control the overall
placement and presentation on the desktop.
The above example is based upon my ThinkPad that has a screen resolution of 1920x1080 on a 14" display... You'll want to open up your applications, size and drag them around your liking. Once you're happy with layout, issue the W command in the event screen and note the widow settings that will need to set the arguments that go into C:\DSDPlus\1R.bat. This is prerequisite to proceeding to creation and layout adjustment of your C:\DSDPlus\FMP24_CC.lnk and C:\DSDPlus\1R_.lnk files.
Keep in mind that the Channel Activity screen grows vertically as it populates with Voice Trunk frequencies from the local system. You'll need to account for
this in sizing and placement of the other windows in your desktop presentation. Be patient, it will take some cut and try before you get it setup exactly how
you want it to look.
Best regards,
Bill
