Do you have a pro-96? I did have 2 since they came out but didn't like how the CCS and fregs & tgs jumped around so much. Have not had that problem with the 296. Other wise a very good unit

Not sure who you are asking but yes, I do have a Pro-96. I never really much liked the way that Unidens are setup. I guess more personal preference than anything.
I use the Pro-96 for FTC area DTRS, a Pro-92 for Denver Edacs and I also use a lot of various commercial/amateur gear.

It is getting late..... Yea the 96 does seem to have a problem with this, I have found though with this area being less busy than the metro area that it is not as much of a problem. I only scan two CC's, PVH and Horsetooth.
yep it really is. i'll probably call it a night after this post. PVH and Horsetooth are the two best to use in the FTC area. Horsetooth echos the traffic from the PVH tower and also pulls in weld county and occasionally some metro area stuff.
If you wan't to listen to more South CSP troops, program in Mount Thorodin (868.975) that should cover most of those troops well i.e. 6C,1A,1C,1D etc. This site is pretty darn high, another option would be Squaw Mountain (11,440ft) w/ freq of 868.850. These both cover the Front Range well with no special/high gain antennas needed.
