I live near the RDU airport and have been unsuccessful monitoring Duke University. In the Reference file no frequency is highlighted as a control channel and my BCD996T doesn’t detect a control channel on any of the frequencies. Could it be I am just too far away from that system to monitor it?

They might have rebanded the system, but the database has been updated to show the frequency changes. Try 867.450 MHz and see if you can find a data channel on that frequency?

Hey brother...I work in Durham (Near Hillsborough Rd/Cole Mill Rd)....I had forgotten that system was in the database...I will add it to one of my radios and try monitoring it tomorrow or Monday...I will let you know what I find out...

Ok I am monitoring this system at work...
So far I have updated the database with the SID (4238) and the CC (860.8125Mhz).
I will monitor this system and see if I can get the TGIDs updated in the database as well.
Happy Monitoring!

Marshall - I hear the duke trunked system from time to time, and other that someone adding two frequencies to the trunking system database, i have not noticed they have changed their system to any identifiable degree....i can hear them from chapel hill (like today 11/11) as usual. You get more traffic, of course if you drive near campus, of course where their signal is stronger. Pls. advise if they have indeed changed something....rgds, redclay

Marshall, thanks for doing the hard work on this. I have monitored the CC for a while now and am still not getting any reception. I must conclude I am too far away. I appreciate your help.

No problem...I do believe the issue is with reception distance...I can only start to pick up the CC when I am heading into Work on the Durham Freeway (147)....I can't even pick it up on I40 in the park....but once you get into Durham you can monitor it...
