By Coatesville Fire Department January 18, 2011 On Tuesday January 18th 2011, Around 15:27 The Washington Hose Company EMS Divison was dispatched for one ambulance to assist the East Brandywine Fire Company on an auto accident with entrapment.

Ambulance 41-1 and Chief 49 (Edwards) made the response at 15:29 and were advised by the 911 center of 1 vehicle off of the roadway with the operator of the vehicle unable to get out. Chief 49 arrived at 15:32 and confirmed the entrapment and assumed "Bondsville Command" advising Engine 49 that they would need to take the roof and doors of the vehicle.

Engine 49 was the first arriving unit to start the extrication until the arrival of Rescue 38. Rescue 38 arrived and their crew was advised by the command to assist Engine 49's crew with finishing up the extrication. Ambulance 41-1 arrived and was advised by the command to have a backboard and stretcher brought to the scene for the 49 EMS personnel who were handeling patient care.

The Patient was extricated at 15:44 and was turned over to the Washington Hose Company Ambulance crew and Medic 93 who transported the patient to Paoli Hospital. Command was terminated a short time later and the 38 and 49 units were made available by Chief 49.
