Hollywood Casino Grantville (and potentially York & Morgantown)

Hollywood Casino in Grantville recently switched from LTR to NXDN4800. I have a wiki started here. There's lots of activity so if you're nearby, you'll have near constant traffic. I think I figured out all of the channels (it uses 15 thru 24) and many of the talkgroups. If you live nearby, throw it in DSD+ and see what you get.

Also, based on the licenses, I suspect Hollywood Casino in York and Morgantown have a similar, if not the same, system. I keep seeing packets for linked network and since this is L501-3, I'm wondering if all 3 sites have it. If you're near York or Morgantown, check out these freqs and let us know what, if anything, you hear.

Note: The Grantville system uses the frequencies on the WRFR819 license but it also brought over frequencies from the old LTR license KKP847. So if you start sniffing out one of the other sites, make sure you check other licenses for that location. Also, as of this weekend I am brand new to NXDN trunking so I'm not sure if this is an obvious statement or not but the channels for Grantville are in order of frequency from low to high:

I am trying to fix your wiki as it's an orphan, and it seems that the name is not correct in the database.

I suspect this is the correct entry, but with the name wrong, it's driving the wiki nuts because it's not specific enough

What exactly is the question? Is the title of "Hollywood Casino" in the DB correct? Yes it is. I believe Hollywood Casino is a national brand and not specific to the Grantville location. Everyone around here calls it "Penn National." All I did was submit an update to a preexisting DB entry (it went from LTR to NXDN).

It may be correct for the area, but there are more Hollywood Casinos in the US besides this one. As this is supposed to be a database, one of the rules is that a referring name must be unique. The wiki tends to enforce that rule, and unfortunately that's where the issue lies. If you click on the wiki link from the database, it does not go to the correct 'Hollywood Casino' name because the name in the database is too general. If it has a qualifying name, it can be properly isolated from all the other 'Hollywood Casinos' in the database. Do a broad search of the name and you will see the results...Mike

Yeah that’s exactly what I said in my above post. You may want to contact the DB team because they created this entry years before I ever updated it to the correct frequencies. I noticed a few weeks ago that the links took you to random Hollywood Casinos across the country. What, if anything, do you want me to do for you?

I'll drop a line to the DBAs and see if I can get them to fix this. If not, perhaps the link to the wiki can be redirected to the correct article. Unfortunately this is the issue with having company names that has the same name in multiple states. It can become a pain when you have to branch from it.

Since Hollywood has 18-20 casinos nationwide and the three Pennsylvania operations may be sharing a radio system, do you rename the system in question Hollywood Casinos of Pennsylvania or just name it Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. Not sure what makes sense since we don't know for sure that the casino sites in PA are all on the same system. That's just the speculation mentioned above.

I'm in favor of naming it Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in the DB until we confirm the other two sites. The control channel says there are other sites but so far nobody has come forward with any information. I'm not an admin so I cannot make that change.

Hollywood Casino Grantville Pa says it all. I would use the business name, the city where they are located, and state they are located in. just my two cents to keep it simple and to the point.
