By East Brandywine Fire Company December 7, 2010 On Tuesday December 7, 2010, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched to a house fire at Brandywine Manor House, on Germany Hollow Road.
While en-route Chief 49 was notified by Chester County radio that per the Police, fire was reported through the roof. Upon Chief 49 arrival the working fire dispatch was sounded.
Firefighters encountered heavy fire which was exacerbated by 20 to 25 mph winds.
An aggressive fire attack and the collaborative efforts of multiple stations preserved the majority of the structure.
The officers of East Brandywine Fire Company would like to thank all of the personnel who braved sub freezing temperatures on the fire ground and all of those who stood-by during the incident.
Our thoughts go out to Dr. Eck and his family, as well as all the staff of the Brandywine Manor House.
