By Modena Fire Company #1 June 9, 2010 On Wednesday evening June 9 2010 the Modena Fire Company was dispatched at 1745 along with Rescue 44 to an accident reported serous on Youngsburg Road in East Fallowfield Township.
Ambulance 37-1, Tac 37, and Traffic 37 all made the response on scene found one vehicle overturned with one patient still inside. Deputy 37 assumed command as Tac 37 crew quickly stabilized the vehicle before assisting the EMS crew with patient extrication. With no need for hydraulic rescue equipment Rescue 44 crew arrived on scene and also assisted the EMS with patient packaging as the patient was already removed from the vehicle.
Traffic 37 and additional fire police from both Modena and Westwood closed Youngsburg Road between Upper and Lower Gap Roads.
Ambulance 37-1 transported one to Brandywine Hospital to be evaluated, Rescue 44 was released from scene, and Tac 37 crew cleaned up debris in the road.
A & R towing up righted the vehicle and removed it from the scene, command was terminated and all units cleared the scene at 1827.
