Your Pro-106 isn’t capable of Phase 2, but according to the post above it’s still Phase 1. Are you still not receiving it?
I cannot hear anything on 3705 dispatch 1. If I load the scanner app on my phone or if I use broadcastify on my computer I can hear dispatch 1. I am closer to dispatch 1 than I am to dispatch 2.

I should add that if a phase 1 radio shows up on a TG then all transmissions will be phase 1. This could be the issue where on his scanner if all phase 2 radios are on he won't hear anything and then a phase 1 shows up, and bingo, its alive again.

Yep, that's what I was thinking too. But if he's still not hearing anything, and you're saying it's currently Phase 1, then maybe it's a programming issue.

What I have showing in ARC500 and Radioreference:
EBRCS P25
DEC: 3705
HEX: e79
Mode: D
Alpha Tag: ACSO Dispatch 1
Description: Dispatch 1
Tag: Law Dispatch
Is that wrong?
Dispatch 2 is the same except for the DEC: 3707 HEX: e7b and I can here traffic on this one but none on Dispatch 1.

Hmm...I'm out of ideas. But EBRCS is transitioning to Phase 2/TDMA which your Pro-106 will not be able to receive.

officer_415, I see on RadioReference Scanner Masters your last reported update For Alameda County Sheriff was 11-30-2023. mlangeveld's last update for Alameda County Sheriff was 12-30-2021. Could Sheriff's radio have changed something since then?
Are you able to receive Dispatch 1 Alameda County Sheriff 3705 and if you are out of range do you know anyone in the area?
If not then sadly it may be time to retire the ole pro106. Do you have a suggestion for a replacement scanner with phase 2 capabilities?

My understanding is that all EBRCS talkgroups are now Phase 2/TDMA capable, but as @Oakland_Tower explained they are operating in Dynamic Dual Mode, which means that if there are any Phase 1/FDMA radios affiliated to the talkgroup, it will revert to Phase 1 which is why some talkgroups are still operating as Phase 1. Eventually they will weed out those radios and everything will be Phase 2.

Your best bet is probably the Uniden SDS-100. I have a BCD325P2 but it doesn't work very well on EBRCS; too much simulcast distortion. The SDS-100 is designed to handle LSM better.

I'll look into it the SDS-100 now. I'm am used to programming the Pro-106, I hope programming the SDS-100 will be simular (ARC500, RadioReference, laptop & a usb cable) or easier.

Thank you sir.

Update, SDS100 picks up ACSO Dispatch 1. It seems I was missing a lot of OPD traffic as well with the pro-106.

okay, I feel dumb. My eyes aren't the best and I wasn't wearing glasses, what I was a 1 was in fact a 2. So back to square one with this SDS100. Still can't hear EBRCS P25 3705 but can hear it loud and clear on Broadcastify.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'll go sit in the corner now.

I locked onto 3705 Dispatch 1 and I hear traffic. Broadcastify is on a delay about 2 minutes or there about. If I weren't locked onto EBRCS, Alameda County Sheriff 3705 I think I would miss the traffic while the scanner scans. I don't think I am hearing everything on dispatch one, I'm still researching.

I have no issue capturing 3705 in scan (not channel lock) mode with SDS200, though dispatch2 (3707) seems is more active (like 8:5 ratio).
I have now infrequently used SDS100 but feel too cluttered to pull out to try, certainly my previous SDS100 log shows 3705 had hundreds of hits.

Haven't notice anything on dispatch 3 though during my 20 minutes monitoring.

Dispatch 2 Dublin Area is more active for sure but there's something strange going on with Dispatch 1 Eden Township Substation either in the Sentinel database (which is dependent on Radio Reference database?). Broadcastify is much more active on Dispatch 1 - 3705 than my SDS100 is. Do you program your scanner without the use of Sentinel? Icanthearit !

I use Sentinel. I tried to compare with broadcastify (with desktop computer).

Looks like the broadcastify feed combines both dispatch 1&2, I had to lock SDS200 on dispatch 1 and SDS100 on dispatch 2,

Indeed there have been cases where broadcastify picks up communications neither of my scanners ever had. Other times, the communication are the same though the 2-3 minutes long broadcastify delay makes comparison really harder (to my fish memory).
