EL PASO COUNTY - One person has been pronounced dead at an accident at Marksheffel and Highway 94. It happened when a car heading northbound on Marksheffel was broad-sided by a van heading eastbound on 94 around 11:00 Wednesday morning. Investigators have not yet determined who is at fault, however preliminary investigation indicates the van may have had the right-of-way.
The driver of the car, who was a member of the Air Force, was killed in the wreck. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No one else was in either vehicle. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
