Hello group, It's been awhile since I've been here. Over the past few days my scanners ( Whistler 1040 & HomePatrol 1) started picking up fewer channels and now have gone silent. Any group members in El Paso having the same problem?

Well, it was good while it lasted. They City of El Paso is going encrypted starting this weekend per my radio tech buddies. I knew that the PD tactical channels were already encrypted but it looks like all the channels from PD and FD are doing it. I don't know any more details so I can't tell...

Wow new $700.00 scanner and no frequency channels worth listening to the ones like pd and fire encrypted.

Good afternoon I'm having the same issue not being able to pick up any of the PD and FD calls can anyone let me know if there is a way to do so?

Looks like they may have gone to encryption.

Yup. All city police and fire have disappeared now. We still get county and TxDot but the rest gone. Thought my scanner had broke. LOL
