Very interesting indeed, Good Job.

I appreciate the feedback .. yeah ... took 4 years of work .. basically between 1990 and 1994,
though it seems that there are always improvements to be made ..

I think you are referring to the /\/\otorola Military HF radio... It is a MICOM-2R which
I purchased direct from /\/\otorola several years ago ..

sheesh .. time goes by even faster after retirement .. !!

Comvan project cost:

Well ... the total investment was over a 10 year period, though most of the mechanical stuff was done between 1990 and 1994 ...

The vehicle is a 1954 military Dodge powerwagon.. it is called an M37 ...

Total investment at the moment is at : $39,000.00

and the cost of the powerwagon was only $2600.00 ...

My partner and I did all of the restoration work ourselves except for two items:

#1: the leather upholstery on the driver's seat

#2: conversion of the engine to dual exhaust ..

We replaced the original 230 ci engine with a 276 ci .. so it is 20% more horsepower
than original ..

Of course the cost doesn't include some of the trips to various hardware stores
for stainless steel hardware, nuts, screws, rivnuts and the like ..

Here's a link to a write-up on my site:
