Well, the windup of this story is if you want to avoid interference take your scanner, portable antenna and battery out in the middle of nowhere. If you go at night bring a telescope, star gazing is at it's best without light pollution and a telescope won't produce RF pollution. Meanwhile do like I do, lock out the affected channels when you're posting here. My computer may be a noisy beast but the affected frequencies are fairly inactive and relatively unimportant, call me lucky in that regard.
