Damn I didn't want to get a MCA104M due to it's price, but I guess I have to bite the bullet and get one don't want to miss out on CHP.

Naw, I built one for less $$ than a Stridsburg.

Get a suitable low noise amp off of fleabay, add a distribution block and
voila.. low band multicoupler. It was all SMA, so you just need appropriate
adapters to go to scanners.

I think I built the whole thing for <$50 in FleaBay surplus parts.

is it just a low band multicoupler? or VHF hi UHF also?

It will do 30-600mhz pretty well, but I only use it for my 4 low band radios listening to CHP, Ebay Regional Parks, San Francisco's backup channels, and various EOC channels.
