Elizabeth 2nd Alarm | 5280FIRE
08/06 ~ Around 13:50 Elizabeth and Franktown Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the area of Cherokee Trail & Sioux Trail in the Ponderosa Park Subdivision. While enroute, Chief 271 reported a plume in the air and transmitted a 2nd Alarm. Upon arrival at 35504 Cherokee Trail heavy flames were found showing from the Charlie and Delta Sides, extending to the nearby vegetation. Crews set up a port-a-tank and rural water supply operations while an interior attack began. A primary search of the entire structure was completed, flames were found running the attic and defensive mode began. The fire was placed under control within an hour and units remained on scene for several hours overhauling.
