Does anyone know if Elizabeth Fire converted to Digital (700mhz)?

I use to receive them even if scratchy on my scanner here at home but not getting anything and the feed is active.

I was told a little while ago they did indeed purchase radio's etc, but I was not aware of a switch date.

I also know as of last Friday they no longer provide the Mutual Aid Radio coverage.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks......forgive me, for I've been away from the hobby for a while. I have noticed many changes. Does this mean that Elizabeth FD will no longer be heard on their 500MHz frequency or will it still be simulcasted? I noticed several agencies are listed on the 700 MHz NJICS system. Does this mean all of these agencies will abandon their current frequencies?

In general, yes. For example, Newark FD joined the NJICS and is no longer dispatching on their old frequency of 154.13.
