Does anyone know the Elmore County Fireground frequency? When their (I think Volunteers) are busy with a fire they say switch to Fireground. I’m guessing it’s a simplex freq but am wondering what it is, I don’t see it listed in the DB. Thanks.

If they are like the ones around here they are using ht's on low power now for their ground ops. Before they consolidated the county 911 would hear them on their separate frequencies, now they have to be very close(2-4) miles. Our antenna is on roof and gives us a good range to pick up traffic.
If they are on AFRN, you just need to set up a spot with the frequencies for your county and set it up as a wildcard then listen for new groups. That is what I do for Morgan and Madison Counties.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. I don’t think they’re on AWIN

Thanks. Elmore Co isn’t on AFRN. I’m pretty sure it’s simplex where you have to be close by to hear it I was just wondering if anyone already knew what it was.

I believe they use the State Mutual Aid Frequency 155.04 MHz on their HT's for Fireground, but as KG4DRF pointed out unless you are within a few miles it's difficult to pickup.
