Bummer, but not for forvever.... today's Emirates 211 is an example... the 380's are being pulled for upgrades and Triple 7's filling in.

They won't be producing anymore A380s, what's flying now is it. Quad jets are a thing of the past.

Long range, twin-engined jets with ETOPS 330 certification are the norm and have been for a while.

NYC-Tokyo, O'Hare to Istanbul every day. 12-14 hours non-stop, always on a twinjet such as the 787, 777, and A350.

The A380 is now the only regularly scheduled passenger carrying aircraft that has 4 engines.
