Sorry if this is not in the correct category but recently i have put 10 dual band Chinese radios in there own faraday proof bags and sealed them with there charger, charged battery pack and a AA battery pack for my prepper stuff.

My question is would an emp affect AA batteries? are they safe out or should i bag them as well?

thanks

I have some ideas, but realize it would not be a good idea to type them out :p

Dry cell batteries should be protected from EMP as well, along with any other personal survival equipment

I'd bury my stuff in plastic sealed containers a few feet under the ground. EMPs can't touch that.

I just had a discussion about EMPs on my other forum and I was wondering if EMPs can affect optical media. I new the answer was no, but I wanted to verify it because this nit wit from Denmark said it would be like sticking a CD in the microwave. I was like, sure buddy. But there's this new optical media called M Disk that stores for a 1000 years. You have to have the right burner though. So I'm making like a time capsule with M disk media.
